St. Johns Church Dismissal

St. Johns Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville is seeking dismissal from the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) to the Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians (ECO). The request has been approved by the presbytery at our 2021 Fall Stated Meeting. As of 01/01/22, the church will no longer be a member of our presbytery or our denomination. St. Johns and the Administrative Commission elected by the presbytery to work with the church gave notice of an advisory vote of the congregation to be held Sunday morning, September 12. The results of the advisory vote were 149 in favor and 3 against being dismissed to ECO. These results were considered by the Administrative Commission in preparing its recommendation to the presbytery.
