In June, Presbyterian Women met for our triennial Gathering in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Eleven women in our Presbytery from nine churches joined 1,735 women from across the country and around the world to celebrate, “One Body, One Spirit.”
Our time was spent in morning and evening plenaries sharing stories of our unity, not our sameness. We attended programs to build our faith and discover our spirituality. And we also had conversations about topics that were uncomfortable and even difficult to listen to such as sex trafficking and violence against women and girls. As Presbyterian Women, no one was a stranger. We shared our stories, our songs, our missions as “One Body, One Spirit”.
