By: Sandra Hedrick, Stated Clerk
I am pleased to introduce our new Presbytery Moderator Ralph Moulder! He will be serving us through the end of our Winter Stated Meeting in February 2016. I first met Ralph several years ago when we both served on a presbytery commission assigned to a particular task that was completed in October 2012. Like others who have served with him, I enjoy Ralph’s faithful and practical approach to the tasks before us and his wonderful sense of humor.
Ralph is a ruling elder member of First Presbyterian Church in Starke, Florida, where he teaches adult Sunday School and preaches on occasion when Pastor Don is away. (If you want to find Ralph any day of the week, a good place to check is the church!) He is married to Susan and has grown children (and grandchildren).
Ralph is “retired” from paid work now, and he brings to his ministry all the experience he gained working with the Florida Department of Corrections and other corrections programs. He has served on various boards and has specialized training in communications, conflict resolution, management, and many other areas. He has coached baseball as well!
One of Ralph’s main goals as moderator is to open the lines of communication more fully. I have no doubt that he will do that as he serves us faithfully and energetically in the days to come!
