2008 Medical Mission in Jamaica
June 15-22
Each year, the Presbytery of St. Augustine (Presbyterian Church USA) hosts the Mutual Mission Medical trip.  The team will participate in our 18^th annual mission June 15-22, 2008.  We will need 20-30 health professionals to join this mission at the invitation of our partners in Jamaica.  We provide primary medical and dental care to adults and children who might otherwise not have access to health care.  We see over 2,000 patients on our week-long mission and distribute much needed medicine.  We refer to local hospitals those patients with conditions requiring surgical or intensive work and treat a great deal of hypertension, asthma, diabetes and other conditions. 

For those of you have participated in the past, we would love for you to join the team again.  Your place on the team is being held for you! 

For those of you new to the experience, we share the love of Christ by concrete action.  We always “get” much more than we give, in love and in friendship.  The cost of the trip is $975 per person: nurses, dental assistants, retired physicians, and dentist frequently are underwritten by local churches.  If interested in attending, you should encourage your church to “adopt a volunteer.”
